What: Advanced Training for those who have already completed Parent Connections Training
The best source of information and support for parents is often other parents. Parent Connections offers facilitator training to parents or caregivers who are raising children in the Richmond area.
Parent Connections is for:
- parents who are interested in learning more about child growth and development, multiculturalism, first aid, books, music and arts.
- parents who have the energy and interest to provide leadership in their community.
Training sessions:
- are free and provide childcare and transportation.
- run twice each year and are 8 weeks long.
- include a 4 week practice with a Family Place staff member.
Parent Connections will provide you with:
- valuable volunteer experience and a certificate of completion.
- a small honorarium to cover program costs.
- an opportunity to meet other parents.
- facilitator support network including bi-monthly dinner meetings and ongoing training.
