The project provides free on-site child minding for non-profit agencies/organizations offering parenting programs, community kitchens, workshops, support groups or other services to families. This service assists in removing barriers that families may experience in attending these groups.

In addition, we believe that our child minding service provides children with opportunities to participate in quality early childhood sessions that will build and enhance social, emotional, language and cognitive skills. Child care providers will bring materials and resources for children.

This project also provides families with information and referrals to other services in Richmond.

Experienced, creative and energetic child care providers are contracted for 50 weeks per year to provide up to 21 hours per week of free child minding on request from non-profit community agencies.
