Parent Resources

The purpose of Richmond Family Place is to support parents with children aged 0-6 years in Richmond. Everyone is welcome at the Drop-In Sessions: moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers and young children. All programs offered are either free or low cost (if cost is a problem just speak to our playroom staff).

The best source of information and support for parents is often other parents. The Parent Connections program, funded by the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, is designed for parents who would like to run a group and who have the energy and interest to provide leadership. The program offers parents a 13-week training program including a practicum, childcare and transportation. Richmond Family Place staff also provide support and resources to parent leaders.
